Media Accreditation Application

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Access will be granted on a case-by-case basis at the event organizer’s sole and absolute discretion.

If this Accreditation Application is approved an Accreditation Pass will be issued by Cape Town Pride Festival.

Each Application for Accreditation must be submitted via email and confirmation will take place electronically. Media armbands will not be mailed in advance; all pre-registered media must pick up their materials onsite at the Green Point A-Track on Saturday 2nd March 2024 from 10.00am.

Media who have registered and met Cape Town Pride’s requirements for registration will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Accredited media are required to wear event Media identification at all times.

The Cape Town Pride Festival reserves the right to deny, refuse or revoke media armbands during pre-registration as well as at an event. All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Media Accreditation – Terms & Conditions

Media requiring access to Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras on 4th March 2023 at Green Point A track require accreditation. This accreditation is granted solely for the purpose of enabling journalistic coverage.

Cape Town Pride Festival charges no registration fee for accredited press representatives and passes are non-transferable and must be visibly worn at all times

The following persons may receive press accreditation:

Media that will provide post-event coverage.

Cape Town Pride Festival may conduct further investigations to establish proof of journalistic activities, even if a valid press card/work pass has been submitted.

There is no entitlement to accreditation and Cape Town Pride Festival reserves the right to restrict accreditation or to revoke it entirely.

Please note that press passes are for working media only. Additional press passes will not be granted to unaffiliated guests.  Only journalists and named members of editorial teams are eligible to receive press accreditation. Non-journalistic staff members (i.e. members of management, assistants, advertising dept. employees, etc.) do not qualify as journalists and will not receive press accreditation.

One application form must be completed per person. If multiple people from your outlet are intending to attend, each applicant must submit their own form

Cape Town Pride may reject requests on a case-by-case basis.

Access to areas is restricted in accordance with the pass. There is no access to the VIP Lounge or to the backstage area.
